Ushoran, the Mortarch of Delusion

Ushoran is one of the great Mortarchs of Nagash, an ancient and powerful vampire who rules over the deluded courts of the Flesh-eater Courts. Once a noble figure of the Legion of Blood, Ushoran was reforged by the God of Death into a monstrous abhorrant, a towering vampire whose very presence warps the minds of those around him into shared madness.

Through his terrible gift, Ushoran and his followers perceive themselves not as ghoulish cannibals feasting on corpses, but as gallant knights of a glittering kingdom, feasting on fine wine and roasted meats in gilded halls. This grand delusion is the animating principle of the flesh-eater-courts, and Ushoran is its ultimate source, an emperor of a realm that exists only within the fevered dreams of the damned.

Returned to prominence in the Era of the Beast, Ushoran commands his cannibal legions with genuine nobility of purpose, a tragic and monstrous king serving the wider designs of the Death Grand Alliance.
