Kraken-eater Mega-Gargant

Kraken-eaters are the barons of gargantkind: vast, brine-crusted mega-gargants who claim whole coastlines as personal property and charge the inhabitants rent. They earned their name honestly, striding into deep water to drag krakens and worse up onto the rocks to eat. What a Kraken-eater cannot swallow, it collects: its nets sag with anchors, bells, cattle, treasure chests, and the occasional still-protesting tax collector.

In battle a Kraken-eater fights like an eviction, with a landlord's methodical spite and a great deal of kicking. Anything on its land that it did not put there (siege engines, monuments, unwary knights) is liable to be punted over the horizon. Taker Tribes grow fat and glittering in a Kraken-eater's shadow, and the tribute it hauls behind it has bought the services of more than one 'civilized' ally who found it cheaper to pay the gargant than to fight it.
