Alarith Spirit of the Mountain

When the Lumineth's need is great and their humility is judged sufficient, a mountain may pour its spirit into a towering body of stone, precious metal and geomantic force, and stride to war. A Spirit of the Mountain moves with terrible deliberation: the gem at its brow gathers the land's wrath and releases it as a searing beam, while its great hammer does not so much strike the enemy as amend the landscape they were standing on.

The mountain-spirits remember the Spirefall (the land was wounded by it as surely as the aelves were shamed), and their alliance is conditional, renewed through rites of apology that never truly end. The greatest among them, like Avalenor, guardian of Ymetrica, are addressed as elders and consulted as oracles; even Teclis, who taught the Lumineth everything else, speaks to the mountains with care.
