Lord of Afflictions

The Lord of Afflictions is the field-commander of Nurgle's mounted Rotbringers, a hulking champion swollen with blessings and borne aloft upon a Rot Fly whose wings drone a note that curdles the courage of all who hear it. Where he flies, the plagues of the Grandfather grow bolder, spreading from foe to foe with quickened, malignant purpose.

He fights with a festering embrace, gauntlets grown thick with virulent spurs, and hurls incubators of writhing pestilence into massed ranks before he strikes home. Chief among his blessings is command: the Lord of Afflictions marshals Pusgoyle Blightlords and Plague Drones into disciplined, buzzing wedges, timing their descent so that whole battle-lines rot and buckle at once. Patient, methodical, and utterly without fear, he treats warfare as an exercise in husbandry, tending the spread of decay across a field the way a gardener tends beds of black blossom, content so long as the contagion takes root.
