Mournfang Pack

Mournfangs are shaggy, tusked predators of the frozen wilds, all shoulder and spite, and the ogors who break them to the saddle are scarcely gentler. Mournfang Packs range wide of the alfrostun as its outriders and skirmishers, scouting the frozen Mawpath ahead and falling upon anything worth eating. Their charge lands with a sound like a hillside letting go: tusks, iron-shod hooves and riders' clubs all arriving in the same terrible instant.

The bond between ogor and mournfang is less friendship than professional respect between two appetites. Each has judged the other too dangerous to eat and too useful to waste, and together they hunt in perfect, brutal agreement. Mournfang riders claim first pick of any kill the alfrostun brings down: a privilege they enforce with enthusiasm.
