Skink Starpriest

The Skink Starpriest is a priest and minor spellcaster among the Seraphon, one of the cleverest and most gifted of the skinks, entrusted with reading the will of the heavens and interceding with the celestial powers on his cohort's behalf. Bearing a serpent-staff and venom-blade, the Starpriest studies the constellations for omens and channels the light of the stars into potent magic, calling down searing bolts of astral energy or wreathing his allies in protective celestial power. He serves as the voice of the slann's distant wisdom among the rank and file, directing the skink cohorts with shrill, clever commands and bolstering their courage with the certainty of cosmic destiny. Though physically frail beside the mighty saurus, the Starpriest is a canny and dangerous foe, striking from behind a screen of warriors and turning the very stars against those who threaten the great plan. In him, the vast celestial designs of the mage-priests are translated into the swift, darting cunning of the skink.
