Necromancer

The Necromancer is a practitioner of the blackest of magics, a sorcerer who has bartered conscience and often sanity for mastery over death itself. In service to the Soulblight Gravelords, he walks the battlefield weaving the deathly winds of Shyish, dragging the freshly slain back to their feet faster than the enemy can put them down and knitting the tattered dead back into fighting order. His incantations lend unnatural vigour to the shambling hordes around him, quickening their pace and sharpening their clawing hunger. Though frail of body and no match for a warrior in open combat, the Necromancer wields a power that turns the enemy's own fallen against them, ensuring every casualty merely swells the ranks he commands. Vampire lords tolerate these grave-robbing magicians as useful tools, for a Necromancer can raise a fresh legion from a battlefield's leavings overnight. The living regard him with dread, knowing their slain comrades may rise before dawn to march beneath his hand.
