Spite-Revenants

Not every soulpod wakes in harmony. Spite-Revenants are the discord of the wild: spirits grown warped by grief, blight, or the forest's oldest and ugliest memories, severed from the comfort of the spirit-song. Where Tree-Revenants embody the glade's law, Spite-Revenants embody what the glade dreams about when the dreams go wrong: splintered faces, too many joints, and a hatred with no particular address.

The glades cast them out, and the Outcasts made exile a home. They fight in shrieking rushes that unman hardened veterans, clawing and biting with a fury even the servants of Chaos find unnerving. Alarielle suffers their existence because wars need weapons that frighten, and Drycha Hamadreth gathers them to her because she alone sings in their key.
