Golgfag Maneater

Golgfag is the most notorious sellsword in the ogre race, a Maneater Tyrant who has fought on every continent, for every kind of paymaster, and against most of them at least once. He and his mob of veteran Maneaters have sold their terrible strength to dwarf kings and orc warbosses, to the men of the Empire and the courts of far Cathay, and Golgfag remembers each contract chiefly by how well he ate and how much he was paid.

Loyalty, to Golgfag, lasts precisely as long as the gold does. He has broken as many contracts as he has honoured, turning his cleaver on former employers the instant a better offer arrived or the meat ran thin, and he tells the stories himself, roaring with laughter, as though double-dealing were the finest joke ever coined. Yet his reputation only grows, for a Maneater mob under Golgfag is worth an army, and everyone who hires him knows the risk going in.

Vast, scarred, and outrageously arrayed in the plundered arms of a dozen lands, Golgfag fights for the sheer joy of it as much as the pay: the wandering, hungry heart of the ogre race made into one grinning, treacherous, magnificently dangerous giant. He always turns up where the fighting is thickest and the feast is richest, and he always, eventually, gets paid.
