Pegasus Knights

In the high passes, above the eyries of Parravon most famously, Bretonnians have for centuries caught and gentled wild pegasi, and only a knight of rare patience and iron nerve ever earns one's trust. The bond, once made, is for life: a Pegasus Knight stables his steed nearer than his kin and mourns it like a brother.

In war they are the answer to every question the lance cannot reach. Pegasus Knights vault rivers, walls, and entire battle lines to plunge onto artillery crews, sorcerers, and enemy generals, delivering the full weight of a Bretonnian charge from the vertical. The kingdom's enemies have learned the particular dread of a shadow that grows.
