Yhetees

The Yhetees are creatures of living winter, loping down from the highest and coldest peaks of the Mountains of Mourn wrapped in a permanent shroud of freezing mist. Part ape and part something far older, they stand taller than an ogre and move with a terrible, bounding grace, their long claws sheathed in ice that never melts and never dulls. The cold that clings to them is no ordinary chill but a supernatural frost that stiffens limbs and slows the blood of any who draw near, so that men falter and freeze even as the beasts fall upon them. Ogres prize the Yhetees as living weapons, luring them down from the snowline with offerings of meat and loosing them into the enemy ranks, where they tear through faltering, shivering foes in a whirl of claws and rime. Even Tyrants keep a wary distance from them.
