Maulerfiend

The Maulerfiend is a daemon-engine bred for the brutal frenzy of close assault, a loping monstrosity that hurls itself upon the foe with mindless, ferocious hunger. Its powerful limbs end in massive iron fists or lashing tendrils, and it scrambles across the battlefield with unnerving speed for so heavy a beast.

Driven by the ravening daemon bound within, the Maulerfiend knows only the urge to rend and crush. It scales fortifications and clambers over wreckage to reach its prey, then tears into tanks and infantry alike, ripping armour apart with its crushing fists and dragging its victims down. Magma cutters mounted upon its forelimbs bore through the thickest plate, spilling the guts of war machines onto the earth.

Unleashed by the war-smiths of the Chaos Space Marines, the Maulerfiend is the close-combat counterpart to the gun-laden Forgefiend, sharing its cursed chassis but forged for slaughter at arm's reach. It is loosed like a hunting hound, straining against its bindings until it can close upon the enemy and glut the daemon's rage.
