Grand Master

A Grand Master stands at the summit of the Chapter's command, commanding one of the eight Brotherhoods and answering only to the Supreme Grand Master. Each is a peerless warrior, a psyker of tremendous power, and a strategist versed in the arcane lore of the enemy. Bearing relics of the Chapter's armouries and armoured in the finest wargear, a Grand Master inspires his brethren to feats of purity and courage while personally slaying the most terrible of daemons.

The Grand Masters are the living embodiment of the Chapter's authority and wisdom, warriors who have risen through centuries of unrelenting war to command entire Brotherhoods. Their knowledge of the Warp and its denizens is vast, hard-won through countless banishments, and their judgement shapes the course of the Chapter's secret campaigns.

In battle, a Grand Master is a beacon of resolve, his presence bolstering the wills of those around him and steeling them against the horrors they face. His own psychic might is immense, capable of unleashing devastating workings against the enemy, and his mastery of the force weapon is matched by few in the galaxy.

A Grand Master rarely commits himself to a battle unless the stakes are dire, for his attention is demanded across many fronts at once. When he does take the field in person, it is a sign that a threat of the gravest order has arisen, and that the full weight of a Brotherhood has been brought to bear to see it destroyed.
