Dawnbreaker Cohort

The Dawnbreaker Cohort are chosen assault veterans who fight where the fighting is fiercest, an honour won only by those who have shattered an enemy line at their primarch's side and lived. They carry glaives crowned with searing energy and shields blazoned with the rising sun of Baal, advancing in a bright wedge that seems, to those who face it, less a military formation than a sunrise given wrath and edge. In the Legion's assault doctrine they are the breaking-point, committed at the exact moment an enemy's resolve begins to bend, and their charge is calculated to turn that bending into a rout. To march in the Cohort is to be trusted with the Legion's honour made visible, and a legionary raised to their ranks is expected to embody every virtue the Blood Angels claim: grace, courage, and an artist's cruelty in the killing stroke.
