Scarghar Sky Hunters

The Scarghar Sky Hunters were the purest expression of the White Scars way of war, brotherhoods of jetbike-mounted legionaries who treated the whole of a warzone as a steppe across which to run their quarry to exhaustion. Screaming in low and fast, they struck at the seams of an enemy army, its supply columns, its artillery crews, its command elements, and were gone again before a defence could form, leaving only wreckage and the memory of engines fading into the dark.

Speed was their armour and surprise their heaviest weapon. A Scarghar rider learned to read the flow of a battle as his ancestors had read the movement of herds, choosing the moment to commit with an instinct no drill could teach. Through the long fighting retreat of the Heresy, these brotherhoods harried the traitor advance without mercy, trading ground for time and making every mile the enemy gained a mile paid for in ambush and blood.
