Einhyr Hearthguard

The elite bodyguard and hammer of the Leagues, the Einhyr Hearthguard are veteran Kin encased in the finest exo-armour their forges can produce. Slow but nearly unstoppable, they wade through enemy fire to deliver crushing blows at close range, their exsuits and heavy weaponry making them among the most durable and lethal infantry any Oathband can field.

The Einhyr are the champions of Kin society, warriors who have accrued exceptional worth through long service and are entrusted with the League's heaviest and most prized wargear. To stand among the Hearthguard is a mark of the highest standing, and those who bear the honour repay it by serving as the personal guard of their Kâhls and the shock troops of the Oathband.

Hearthguard go to war encased in exo-armour of tremendous resilience, powered exosuits that shrug off punishment which would annihilate lesser troops and lend their wearers the strength to wield weapons of devastating close-range power. Concussion hammers, plasma weapons, and volley guns turn a squad of Hearthguard into an unstoppable wedge, advancing implacably into the teeth of the enemy to break their line by main force.

Deployed at the decisive point of a battle, the Einhyr Hearthguard embody the Kin way of war made flesh: heavily protected, lavishly armed, and nearly impossible to stop. Where they march, the enemy's strongest positions crumble, and the League's most treasured warriors return home to see their valour recorded in the Votann.
