Sisters Repentia

Not every Sister who fails her Order is executed for the transgression; some are instead offered a harsher mercy, the chance to purge their failure through the Repentia ritual. Stripped of their power armor and issued only the barest protection, these disgraced Sisters wade into melee wielding eviscerators, enormous chainswords capable of tearing through nearly anything, driven forward by a desperate hope that a sufficiently glorious death might restore what their failure cost them.

A Sisters Repentia squad fights with a ferocity that borders on the self-destructive, since for these women survival is almost beside the point; what matters is the manner of their end. They march to battle under the watch of a Mistress of Repentance, whose neural whip serves both as a weapon and as a grim reminder of the fate awaiting any Repentia who hesitates rather than embraces the death she has been offered as her only path back to grace.
