Veletaris Support Section

The Veletaris Support Section are the heavy-weapon specialists of the Solar Auxilia, the most experienced and trusted soldiers of a cohort, entrusted with its most powerful infantry-portable armaments. Wielding volkite chargers, plasma, and other precious energy weapons, they form the hard core around which a section's firepower is built.

Held to an even higher standard than the already-formidable Auxilia line, the Veletaris are marked by their distinctive heavy armour and their unshakeable steadiness under fire. In the assault they lead the storming of a breach; in defence they hold a position against odds that would break lesser troops, their concentrated fire scything down anything that tries to close. They are the proof that, primarchs and Legions aside, the Great Crusade was carried to the stars first and foremost by the disciplined valour of ordinary, extraordinary men.
