Sydonian Skatros

The Sydonian Skatros is a solitary hunter of the Adeptus Mechanicus, a single augmented sniper mounted high upon the tall, spindly legs of a Sydonian walker. From this commanding vantage the Skatros surveys the battlefield through cortex-linked optics, its patience and precision guided by cold machine-logic, and looses carefully placed shots that fell officers, specialists, and lightly armoured vehicles with a single well-aimed round.

The walker's long limbs let it stride over obstacles and reposition to fresh firing lanes, keeping the marksman elevated above the smoke and press of battle where line of sight is a weapon in itself. Where the galloping Sydonian Dragoons charge home with lances, the Skatros hangs back as a lone predator, its rifle a scalpel that removes the enemy's most vital pieces one by one. To a Mechanicus commander, it is the quiet, methodical counterpart to the maniple's brute force, an elevated eye and a steady trigger that reshapes a battle through precision rather than volume.
