Legion Vindicator

The Legion Vindicator was a siege tank built around a single monstrous weapon, the demolisher cannon, whose short-ranged shells could collapse a bastion or vaporise a squad in one thunderous detonation. The Thousand Sons employed it as the blunt instrument that complemented their subtler arts, for even a Legion of sorcerers had need of raw destructive power when a wall or a strongpoint stood in its way. Where their cabals unmade the enemy through knowledge and the aether, the Vindicator unmade him through sheer force, and the XV brought to its gunnery the same methodical care they gave every discipline, ranging each shot with an exactitude that made the great cannon fearsomely accurate. Advancing under the covering fire of the line, a Vindicator battery could open a fortress for the Legion's warriors to exploit. It was proof that the scholars of Prospero, for all their occult learning, had never forgotten the older grammar of the siege.
