Arc Weapons

Arc Weapons are the crackling armaments of the Adeptus Mechanicus, sacred tools that channel violent surges of electrical energy through claw, maul, or lance. Where they strike, coruscating arcs leap and dance, overloading machine-spirits, frying delicate circuitry, and boiling the flesh of the living within their armour. Against war-engines and constructs they are peerless.

The tech-priests wield these weapons as extensions of their faith in the Omnissiah, for the arc is the Machine God's own wrath rendered in lightning. Skitarii vanguard and elite Fulgurites bear arc mauls and claws into battle, striking down enemy vehicles and Dreadnoughts by shorting the very souls that animate them. To the Mechanicus, unmaking a machine is a solemn sacrament as much as a martial act.

Each arc weapon thrums with barely contained power, its capacitors whining with charge, its runes of containment inscribed in binaric cant. The Fulgurites believe the energies harvested in the kill can be turned to restore their own augmetic frames, a grim communion of destruction and renewal. In the arc weapon, the Cult Mechanicus makes plain its creed: that all things run upon the Machine God's current, and by that current they may be judged and ended.
