The Anvils of the Heldenhammer

The Anvils of the Heldenhammer were among the first Stormhosts hammered into being at the dawn of the Realmgate Wars, and something of that earliest, harshest forging clings to them still. Clad in armour the colour of old bone and midnight, they are a solemn brotherhood who venerate the honoured dead and count every fallen comrade a sacred debt.

Where other chambers of the Stormcast Eternals sing hymns of triumph, the Anvils toll iron bells and intone the names of the slain. Their Lord-Relictors wield the very lightning of Azyr to bind the restless dead to their cause, and it is whispered that the spirits of long-dead heroes march unseen in their ranks, answering the summons of the grave.

The Anvils excel at the grinding war of siege and attrition, holding fast where lesser hosts would break. They lend their unyielding line to the free peoples and the Fyreslayers alike, asking no glory in return. To the Anvils, victory is not a thing to be celebrated but a duty owed to the dead, discharged in silence beneath their black and bone-white banners.
