Screamers of Tzeentch

Screamers are the ocean predators of a sea that is everywhere. Manta-winged and trailing keening wails, they ride the aetheric currents that flow between the realms, visible to mortals only when they fold out of the sky to feed. They hunt in shoals, wheeling with a single mind, and the sound that names them arrives a heartbeat before they do.

Magic draws them as blood draws sharks; wizards, waystones, and enchanted war-engines are struck first and hardest. A Screamer's dive shears through armour with slashing fins and finishes with a lamprey maw that bites souls as readily as flesh. Changehost heralds goad them ahead of the legions like hounds before a hunt, and, like hounds, they are only ever half-obedient.
