Bleakswords

The Bleakswords are the swordsmen of the Dark Elf armies, ordered ranks of Druchii warriors who fight with blade and shield where their Dreadspear kin rely upon the spear. Trained from childhood in the joyless barracks of Naggaroth, they wield their swords with a chilling, practised artistry, every parry and thrust honed to lethal perfection through endless drill and casual bloodshed. There is no warmth in a Bleaksword's heart, only the cold contempt of a race that has made cruelty its creed, and they cut down the foe with the dispassion of executioners at their trade. In the battle-line they form a resilient, disciplined wall, holding fast where lesser troops would break and answering each enemy stroke with two of their own. Neither the fastest nor the strongest of the Druchii, the Bleakswords are the dependable core of the host, the pitiless swordsmen upon whom every darker weapon of Naggaroth is built.
