Cold One Knights

Cold One Knights are the heavy cavalry of the druchii, the pride of Hag Graef and the mailed fist of many a druchii army. They ride cold ones: brutal, scaled reptiles bred in the deep vales and dark caverns of Naggaroth, savage beasts whose thick hides shrug off blows and whose fanged jaws are lethal in their own right. The knights themselves are high-born nobles encased in heavy armour, bearing lances that they couch for the charge, and when horse-and-rider strike home the impact can smash a battle-line to splinters. Mastering a cold one is no small feat, for the beasts are stupid, vicious, and slow to obey; the druchii who ride them wear their mounts as marks of status, proof of a nerve and cruelty equal to the creatures beneath them. Slow to start but unstoppable once in motion, the Cold One Knights deliver the hammer-blow around which a druchii battle is won.
