Doom Diver Catapult

The Doom Diver Catapult is the demented masterpiece of goblin war-invention. A Night Goblin, strapped into a harness of canvas wings and pointed at the front, is loaded into a catapult and flung screaming across the battlefield, and here is the mad genius of it, for the goblin is not merely a projectile but a pilot, spreading his wings to catch the air and steer his howling descent toward whatever looks softest. Down he plunges, weighted and shrieking, to strike with the force of a falling anvil before, usually, never rising again. The other goblins consider this an excellent use of a volunteer, of which there is a surprising and unexamined supply. Wildly inaccurate in theory and unnervingly precise in practice, the Doom Diver can pick out a champion or a war-machine crew from clear across the field. Its victims rarely hear it coming until the scream is already directly overhead.
