Hidden from all but the most powerful figures of the Imperium, the Officio Assassinorum trains and unleashes the deadliest killers Mankind has ever produced. Its operatives are drawn from the young and gifted, then remade through decades of gene-craft, surgery, and hypno-conditioning until nothing remains but the perfect instrument of death.
The Officio is organised into distinct Temples, each a self-contained world of ritual and secrecy devoted to a single discipline. The marksmen of one Temple can slay a target across a battlefield with a single round. The shapeshifters of another walk unseen among the enemy, wearing stolen faces to strike from within. Others produce frenzied berserkers or soulless anti-psykers, each a nightmare tailored to a different kind of prey.
An execution sanctioned at the highest level sets these weapons loose. Once an Assassin is committed to a kill, it will pursue its quarry to the ends of the galaxy, patient, relentless, and utterly without mercy. To be marked by the Officio Assassinorum is, for almost all who suffer it, a death sentence already carried out.
