Baneblade

The Baneblade is among the largest and most devastating war machines fielded by the Astra Militarum, a leviathan of armoured steel crewed by a small army of gunners, loaders, and tech-adepts. Its principal armament is a massive main cannon capable of levelling structures and annihilating enemy armour, supported by a formidable array of secondary weapons that let it saturate the battlefield with fire in every direction at once.

Each Baneblade is a treasure of the Imperium, its construction demanding resources and expertise that few worlds possess. Consequently they are deployed sparingly and guarded jealously, often serving as command vehicles or as the centrepiece of a critical offensive. The loss of one is a blow felt far beyond the battlefield, and their machine spirits are venerated as ancient and mighty entities in their own right.

In action, the Baneblade is nigh unstoppable, shrugging off fire that would destroy a squadron of lesser tanks while grinding relentlessly toward its objective. Enemy commanders learn to fear its silhouette on the horizon, for where it advances, the line rarely holds.
