Masque of the Dreaming Shadow

The Masque of the Dreaming Shadow are masters of stealth and illusion even by the exacting standards of their kind, a company whose performances dwell upon secrets, dreams and the thin border between waking and death. In war they are ghosts, slipping from the webway to strike where least expected and melting away before retribution can fall, their holo-suits and shadowseer-craft rendering them all but impossible to pin. The Dreaming Shadow rarely fight openly; instead they haunt the edges of a battle, unpicking command structures, assassinating key foes and sowing confusion until the enemy's plans unravel of their own accord. Their players are said to walk in the dreams of the living and the dead alike, gathering the knowledge that guides the Masque's interventions. When a war turns inexplicably against a foe, its leaders slain and its nerve broken by an enemy never clearly seen, the hand of the Dreaming Shadow is often to blame.
