Inferno Pistol

The Inferno Pistol is a melta weapon shrunk to the span of a hand, sacrificing range for a killing blow of terrible intimacy. At close quarters it unleashes a blast of sub-atomic heat that flashes flesh to vapour and slumps ceramite and plasteel into molten ruin, cracking open even armoured foes in a single searing instant.

It is a rare and treasured weapon, its melta technology jealously guarded by the Adeptus Mechanicus and granted only to those of high station. The battle-sisters of the Adepta Sororitas prize it above many relics, their Seraphim and canonesses carrying it as a tool of righteous execution, pressing close to daemon and heretic to deliver its fusion-fire kiss.

The inferno pistol demands courage, for its lethal reach is measured in mere strides, and its bearer must close within a hair's breadth of the foe to unleash it. Yet in that moment there is no armour thick enough, no ward strong enough, to turn aside its wrath. It is a duellist's answer to the monster and the tank alike, a fragment of a forge-fire carried into the heart of the fray.
