Power Fist

The power fist turns a warrior's hand into an engine of destruction. It is an armoured gauntlet, vast and crackling, wreathed in the same disruptive field that sheathes a power blade. A blow from one does not merely strike: it detonates matter on contact, crushing armour like foil and reducing a foe to a smear of ruptured metal and meat.

Because of its bulk the fist is ponderous, and the warrior who swings it must often weather his enemy's blows before he can land his own. This is a bargain the Space Marines accept gladly, for a Terminator or veteran sergeant armed with a power fist can tear open a tank, behead a monster, or fell an enemy champion with a single upward blow. Timing is all; a fist that lands is decisive, a fist that misses leaves its bearer exposed.

Sergeants, veterans and commanders across the Imperium favour the weapon as a statement of raw might, and its brutal cousins appear throughout the galaxy: the Orks bolt vast power klaws to their arms in imitation of the same principle. To wield a power fist is to forgo finesse for certainty, to trade the swordsman's grace for the promise that whatever one grips will simply cease to exist. In the crush of a boarding action or the final storm of a breach, where there is no room to shoot and no time to fence, it is the weapon that settles matters with a single crushing blow.
