Blood Warriors

Blood Warriors are what waits at the end of a Bloodreaver's ambition: killers who have spilled enough blood to earn the Blood God's personal notice. Sealed into gore-dark plate that Khorne's blessing has welded to their bodies, they advance in remorseless red ranks, goreaxes rising and falling with the steady rhythm of woodsmen felling timber, and to a Blood Warrior, that is all a shield-wall is.

Khorne's mark burns hottest at the moment of death. Blood Warriors cut down in battle keep fighting through wounds that should end them instantly, hacking at their killers even as their hearts stop. The soldiers of the free cities have learned never to lower their shields when a Blood Warrior finally drops: not until the corpse stops swinging.
