Dreadscythe Harridans

The Dreadscythe Harridans are the vengeful spirits of women who suffered cruel and violent deaths, raised at Nagash's command as shrieking horrors that hunger to inflict their agony upon the living. Among the Nighthaunt they are prized for the terror they sow, for their piercing, unearthly wails claw at the courage of all who hear them, driving even hardened warriors to blind panic. Armed with wicked scythe-like talons, the Harridans throw themselves upon the foe in a frenzy, growing swifter and more savage the more their victims recoil in fear. They feed upon dread the way other spirits feed upon souls, and a foe already unnerved by their screams is a foe half-slain. Where they descend, discipline shatters and men break ranks to flee, only to be run down and eviscerated by the cackling, wailing dead. The Dreadscythe Harridans are grief and rage given spectral form, and they repay the cruelty of their own ends a thousandfold upon any who cross their path.
