Abominant

The Abominant is the monstrous leader of the cult's Aberrants, the largest and most physically twisted of a brood's hybrids, its body swollen with raw muscle and cruel purpose. Where the Aberrants are lumbering, half-formed things whose bodies have bred true toward strength at the cost of sense, the Abominant retains just enough cunning to command them, and it drives its malformed kin into paroxysms of destructive fury.

Wielding a heavy industrial weapon, often a power sledgehammer or drilling tool repurposed for slaughter, the Abominant wades into the thickest fighting and shrugs off wounds that would kill a lesser creature. Its presence lends the Aberrants around it an even greater resilience and ferocity, so that the whole knot of brutes becomes a grinding engine of carnage at the heart of the Genestealer Cults' uprising. Held back until the decisive moment, the Abominant and its Aberrants are unleashed to smash apart armour, fortifications, and elite infantry alike, a reminder that beneath the cult's patient subterfuge lies a core of pure monstrous violence.
