Acolyte Hybrids

Acolyte Hybrids stand nearer to the origin of the bloodline than their neophyte cousins, and the genestealer taint runs stronger in them. Many bear an extra pair of clawed limbs, hunched and inhuman frames, or features too alien to walk freely in the light. Because of this they seldom mingle with the wider populace, instead forming the fervent core of the cult, sequestered in its sanctums and tunnels.

What they lack in subtlety they make up for in ferocity and faith. Acolytes are the brood's true believers, physically closer to their sire and thus more powerfully bound to its will. They wield rending claws that can tear through armour, alongside cutting tools, blasting charges, and hand weapons drawn from the industries they once served. In the crush of melee they are a nightmare, striking with strength no baseline human could match.

On the battlefield acolytes serve as shock troops and assassins of the uprising's opening moments. They erupt from cover to butcher command staff, overrun strongpoints, and clear the way for the broods behind them. Fearless and frenzied, they see combat as communion, each kill a prayer offered to the four-armed saviour they adore.
