Tempestus Scions

The Tempestus Scions are the elite storm troopers of the Astra Militarum, a corps distinct from the common regiments and trained to a far higher standard. The Tempestus Scions are drawn from a specialised branch of Imperial military training, raised and drilled apart from the ordinary regiments to become the finest human soldiers the Astra Militarum can produce. Equipped with advanced carbines, formidable protective gear, and specialist wargear, they operate as a professional strike force capable of feats far beyond the reach of standard troops.

Their signature tactic is the sudden insertion, dropping from the sky by grav-chute or descending in fast attack craft to strike deep behind enemy lines. They seize objectives, eliminate high-value targets, and sow chaos before withdrawing or holding until relieved. Every mission is planned with cold precision, for the Scions are too valuable to squander in the attritional grind that consumes ordinary regiments.

Disciplined, well-drilled, and fiercely proud, the Tempestus Scions embody a very different philosophy from the mass tactics of the line infantry.
