The Rillietann

The Rillietann is among the most storied of all Masques, a company of players whose renown spans the length of the webway and whose performances are whispered to have swayed the destiny of entire Craftworlds. Where most Masques guard a single cycle of tales, the Rillietann are said to know performances so ancient and potent that to witness them is to be changed forever, warriors marching to certain death, tyrants abandoning thrones, whole peoples turned from ruin by the truth hidden in the dance. In war they fight as they perform, with a flair and audacity that leaves allies awed and enemies bewildered, appearing from the webway at the decisive instant only to vanish once the deed is done. To the other children of the Aeldari, an appearance by the Rillietann is an omen of tremendous import, for such a Masque does not dance without reason, and the reason is seldom understood until far too late.
