Militarum Tempestus Command Squad

The Militarum Tempestus Command Squad forms the nerve centre of a Scion strike force, a knot of veteran storm troopers gathered around a Tempestor Prime. Where the ordinary Guard are levied in their teeming millions, the Scions are raised from the orphans of the Schola Progenium and drilled from childhood into disciplined, ideologically pure soldiers of exceptional skill.

The command squad carries the specialist gear that turns a raid into a surgical strike: vox-arrays to call in fire and extraction, medi-packs to keep key operatives fighting, and command-beacons that let the Prime direct every carapace-armoured trooper with a word. They deploy by grav-chute or Valkyrie into the most sensitive warzones, hunting enemy officers, seizing objectives and neutralising threats too delicate for the mass of the line regiments.

Armed with hot-shot lasguns and plasma weapons that punch through the heaviest infantry armour, they hit hard, achieve their objective and are gone before a counterattack can form. The Prime himself embodies the squad's ethos: utterly loyal, coldly professional, and willing to spend himself and his men without flinching to see the mission done.
