Primaris Psyker

The Primaris Psyker is among the most powerful witches the Imperium dares to field openly, a psyker who survived the horrors of sanctioning and the long voyage to holy Terra to be judged strong enough to serve rather than be devoured. On the battlefield he is a weapon of terrible potential, hurling searing beams of force, igniting the very air, or filling enemy minds with gibbering dread while wreathing his own comrades in courage.

Yet every use of his gift cracks open a window onto the warp, and the daemons that press against it are ever eager to slip through and wear his flesh as their own. For this reason a Primaris Psyker is rarely without a watchful escort, and any officer who commands him weighs the value of his sorcery against the ruin a single moment of possession could unleash.
