Land Speeder

The Land Speeder is a swift anti-gravitic skimmer that grants the Adeptus Astartes a reach and speed few of their vehicles can match. Riding upon repulsor engines that let it race low over any terrain, it darts across the battlefield far ahead of the advancing companies, its two-man crew serving as the Chapter's eyes, outriders and sudden killing edge.

In the reconnaissance role the Land Speeder ranges deep into contested ground, mapping enemy strength and relaying warnings before the main force commits. In open battle it becomes a weapon of the hit-and-run strike, using its blistering pace to fall upon vulnerable targets, be they artillery, command vehicles or exposed flanks, and dart away before the enemy can retaliate. Its armament is readily changed to suit the mission, from heavy bolters and assault cannons to tank-killing multi-meltas and salvoes of missiles.

Lightly armoured for the sake of speed, the Land Speeder lives or dies by its manoeuvrability, and its crews are chosen for boldness and quicksilver reflex. Deployed en masse or as lone hunters, these skimmers embody the Space Marines' love of the decisive, mobile stroke that ends a battle before the foe realises it has begun.
