Skink Priest

The Skink Priest is a keeper of sacred lore among the Lizardmen, a diminutive seer who reads the movements of the stars and the will of the Old Ones in the turning of the constellations. Though far lesser in power than the god-like Slann, skink priests are numerous and vital, tending the temple-cities' rites, interpreting the celestial script and guiding the cold-blooded hosts to the places their masters have decreed. In battle they wield the magic of the heavens, calling down searing comets and forked lightning upon the foe, or invoking the blessings of the Old Ones to steel their scaled kin. Many bear sacred plaques and ancient artefacts, and the most favoured ride to war upon stegadons, directing the beast's Engine of the Gods. Where a Skink Priest chants beneath the open sky, the very stars seem to bend toward the Great Plan, and the enemies of creation feel the weight of an order older than their gods.
