Stegadon

The Stegadon is among the mightiest beasts the Lizardmen drive to war, a colossal horned dinosaur the size of a house, armoured in plates of natural bone and hide that turn all but the heaviest blows. Skink crews ride upon its broad back in fortified howdahs, loosing giant bows and blowpipes down upon the foe, while the beast itself lowers its crown of enormous horns and charges, goring and trampling all before it into the mire. The impact of a stegadon at full stampede can shatter a regiment outright, tossing armoured warriors aside like broken reeds and caving in the flanks of enemy monsters. The most sacred bear the Engine of the Gods, an ancient Old One artefact crackling with celestial power that a skink priest may unleash as searing light. Half war-beast and half moving temple, the stegadon is the fury of the deep jungle harnessed to the Great Plan.
