The Rusted Claw takes its name from the corroded, iron-hard implements of its warriors and the industrial rot of the worlds that spawned it. On planets poisoned by unchecked manufacture or bombardment, ordinary life is a constant war against the environment, and the cults that grow there inherit a fierce hardiness. Generations of exposure have left the Rusted Claw's hybrids resistant to toxins and blight that would fell an unaltered human in moments.
Where other cults burrow and wait, the Rusted Claw moves. Its broods are wanderers, keeping their numbers dispersed across vast contaminated territories, striking from convoys of scavenged vehicles armored with salvaged plate. This mobility makes them fiendishly hard to pin down, for by the time the Imperium locates one nest, the brood has already melted away into the wasteland haze.
The creed's tactics favour speed, ambush, and attrition. Rusted Claw raiders harry supply lines, poison water and air, and wear down defenders through relentless hit-and-run assaults. Their patience is the patience of the desert itself, and when the final uprising comes, they roll from the wastes in a grinding tide of rust and exhaust, choking the enemy in dust before the killing begins.
